Civil War Treasures from Va
With over a foot of snow on the ground, and 41 days til DIV festivities begin, I had to find a way to break the boredom. I remembered this footage from December, and decided to make a little movie. The yard I'm at in the video had never been dug before, at least I really doubt it. The bullets I dug were mostly shallow. I have since gone back to this area and dug another 20 or so bullets. I KNOW there's a good Confederate button there somewhere, it's just a matter of time before it surfaces. There are Confederate fortifications throughout this area, and I'm very anxious to find some good Confederate relics there. Here are my detector settings: MXT300...6X10 DD coil...relic mode, gain +3, disc 2.5, threshold- no hum (I got tired of hearing it). I have to say, the 6X10 DD coil is AWESOME in yards, especially trashy ones. I have been going back to old spots and digging relics right beside trash. I'm really glad I started with a Whites MXT300...it's a great, reliable machine, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks for watching! Tony
